To establish the farm as an integral agricultural and livestock production unit, with a high degree of self-sufficiency in its operational processes, and that provides quality of life to its owners, workers, clients, neighbours and visitors in general.
This farm is an inheritance received by one of the partners (Fanny) from Sigifredo Valverde (her father). The process of possessory information (being able to title the land in a personal name) was concluded in 2012. It has an area of 25 hectares of which 5 are in use for agricultural and livestock production.
Before being bequeathed, the farm was used for fattening cattle by Guillermo Valverde (Fanny's grandfather). The farm was renamed in honour of him: Gui (Guillermo) Val (Valverde). Previously, the farm had planted coffee, cocoa, and various tubers.
Throughout 2020, accommodation and enclosures were established that allowed maintaining a permanent residence on the farm. This was partly in response to the incursion of unauthorised third parties for logging activity.
In 2022, tests in vegetable production began, resulting in the creation of the agricultural production process on the farm. For the first time the farm participated in the agricultural category of the Blue Flag Program. Since then, various expansions have been developed in the search to maintain healthy, permanent, and delicious self-sufficiency. For example, the development of animals including dairy cattle, pigs, broiler and laying chickens and tilapia.
As part of the farm's continuous development, since September 2024 there has been a national and international volunteer programme. This is definitely an enriching, refreshing and valuable experience for the daily life of the farm.
